Lateral Atlantoaxial Osteoarthitis Accompanied with Large Subchondral Cysts: A Case Report of Incidental Finding on CBCT

Atlantoaxial osteoarthritis (AAOA) is a unique clinical syndrome that differs from other degenerative disorders. In dentistry, given increasing use cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to evaluate maxillofacial structures, it likely dentists will encounter these lesions on CBCT scans. extremely important for dentist sistematically examine anatomical structures then teeth during radiographic evaluation terms early diagnosis prevent delays treatment. This article presents case accompanied by subchondral cysts as random finding CBCT.
